Hoboken- Charlie "Paul" Stanford, Jr., 65 of Hoboken, died Thursday morning (March 22, 2012) at Southeast Georgia Health System, in Brunswick, Ga, following an extended illness.

Born in Waycross, Ga, his parents were Charlie Paul Sr., and Betty Ruth Brooker Stanford. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye White Stanford, and a brother, Robert Stanford.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Waycross. Paul was employed with the City of Waycross as a Tree Surgeon, and he loved fishing.

Survivors include a son, Richard "Richie" Paul Stanford, of Hoboken, a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Nathan Herrin, of Hoboken, 4 grandchildren, Justin Fountain, John, Will, and Chris Herrin, all of Hoboken; a sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Rick Cressman, of Interlochen, FL; 7 nieces and nephews, Nicole Inman, Neal and Donnie White, Larry, Bobby, Carl Wayne Stanford, all of Waycross, and Donna Cressman, of Interlochen, FL.

Visitation will be held Friday evening (March 23, 2012) at 6PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday afternoon (March 24, 2012) at 3PM, at Greenlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Rex Hadley officiating.
