His death was caused by heart trouble and dropsy, from which he suffered very much for several months; but he bore it all patiently and often expressed a desire to depart from this world, and be with Christ. He was a faithful member of the Mennonite Church.
Leaves to mourn his departure, wife, 2 sons, 4 daughters, 4 step-children, 91 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services at the East Fairview Church near Milford, Nebr., conducted by the brethren Wm. Schlegel, Jos. Rediger and Jacob Stauffer. Peace to his ashes.
