Zeb's obit from the Deposit Courier:

R. Scott "Zeb" Karcher, 47, of Sherman, passed away peacefully into Heaven, at home on January 21, 2012, with his wife by his side, after an extended illness.
Zeb had a unique and spontaneous personality and sense of humor, and always tried to make everyone laugh. He was an avid guitarist and loved playing his guitars, drums, keyboards and listening to music, especially Jimi Hendrix and Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was a creative artist, drawing his "own" cartoons and writing poems. He enjoyed talking on his CB's to his airwave buddies and listening to his shortwave and ham radios, communicating around the world. He liked tinkering with his electronics and creating different kinds of projects. He was a kung-fu enthusiast, practicing his moves and enjoyed watching Jackie Chan movies. He also was a carpenter and built his home, together with his wife, in Sherman. He worked at West Branch Angler fishing resort as a breakfast cook for the past 6 years, working alongside with his wife. They were always together and he will be greatly missed. He impacted the lives of many friends and family, always making people laugh and smile. He was a very special person and had a great spirit and gentle soul. He was a true believer of the afterlife, saying that we would know when he was with us.
Zeb is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mary J Karcher, Sherman, his parents Priscilla and Richard H. Karcher, Hancock, sister Bethany and Dave Robinson, Hancock, nephew CJ Karcher, and fiancee Crystal Kosier, Stamford, niece Abigail Robinson and friend Alex Shaver, Hancock, cousin Dotty and Ed Corbett, Hancock, step-daughter Amy and Jeffrey Wehrs, Binghamton, step-son Charles A Elliott, Afton, step-grandchildren Darren Singleton, Nichole Singleton and fiance Joshua Merrill, Windsor, Sabrina Herzog & Ricky Herzog, Fishs Eddy, Maurice W Brown, Deposit, Lily Brown, Binghamton, Jeffrey Wehrs Jr., Binghamton, Jaden Elliott, Afton, Connor Buchanan, Deposit, sisters-in-law, Laurie & Mike Scanlon, Maine, NY, Kathleen Burrows, Windsor, Sue Ann Flora, Deposit, Michaela McHugh, FL, mother-in-law, Marie Flora, Sherman, and numerous other members of his extended family.
