Sarah "Sally" Sears was born 1 July 1801 in Sandisfield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, a daughter of Paul Sears and Rachel Granger. She married William Bolles on 15 NOV 1820. Sally & her husband had five children: Jason, Clarinda, Jane, Sarah, and William Allen Bolles. The family moved to Albany, New York and later came west to Fountain Township in 1861.

Sally died on 18 June 1887 in Fillmore County & is buried in the Winslow Cemetery in Fountain.
