Dan was born in Iuka, Kansas, to the late Harry and Mary Frances (Williams) Abrams. Dan was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved to tell stories and could always be found surrounded by listeners enthralled by tales of his travels. Upon retirement from years of working in the oil patch and equipment auctioneering, Dan could be found working outside with his cattle or planting a garden. He was a hard worker, never slowing down for anything. He was a thoughtful and considerate man, taking care of everyone and anyone that needed his help.
Dan is preceded in death by his sisters; a brother-in-law; and a sister-in-law.
Dan is survived by his son, Danny Abrams and wife, Sharron, of Spring, TX; daughter, Connie Wells and husband, Jerry, of Frost; granddaughters, Candus Hinderer and husband, Jeff, of Pearland, TX, Misti Gil and husband, Lou, of Rockwall, TX, and Stephanie Towns and husband, Patrick, of Bryan, TX; grandson, Joshua Wells, of Edgewood, TX; great-grandsons, Nicholas Hinderer, Mitchell Hinderer, Tyler Towns, Zacharee Svacina-Wells, Cooper Gil, and Aaron Towns; brothers, Harry Abrams and wife, Joyce, of Cave Junction, OR, Mike Abrams, of Apple Valley, CA, and Fred Abrams and wife, Dee, of Erie, CO; sister, Barbara Matson, of Ft Worth; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
