Ada Reisig Ryan, daughter of Alexander and Amalia (Vogel) Reisig, was born Sept. 16, 1919 at Russell, KS, and departed this life June 18, 1984 at her home in Lakewood, CO, at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 2 days. She attended Russell schools, graduated from Russell High School in 1937, and then graduated from Hutchinson Business School, Hutchinson, KS.
On Dec. 4, 1948, she was united in marriage to George Ryan in Hays and a short time later moved to Denver, CO, where she became associated with the Denver Dry Goods Co., Denver, as a fashion merchandizer and buyer. She traveled extensively world-wde as a buyer in her 35 years for this firm until the time of her death. She began her career with the L.W. Banker Mercantile Co., in Russell under the direction of her father, and all of her adult life was spent in the clothing business.
To treasure and cherish her memory are her husband, George, of the home; daughter, Mrs. Ken (Molly) Bieshaar, Lakewood, CO; two brothers, Adolph Reisig, Hays, KS; and Max Reisig, Boulder, CO; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Isadella) Blaustein, West Palm Beach, FL; and Mrs. Al (Helene) Pfeifer, Sun City, AZ; and four grandchildren: Brent, Jill, Jennifer, and Bradd. A memorial has been established in her name to Hospice, Lakewood, CO.
