Hugh Henry Brackenridge came to America from Scotland with his parents about 1753, when he was 5 years old. He served as a chaplain in the Revolutionary War, He wrote the 4-volume series Modern Chivalry, helped establish the Pittsburgh Gazette, and founded the Pittsburgh Academy (now the University of Pittsburgh).

He is also my great-great-grandmother's grandfather.

Cumberland County Archives Cemetery Records list HHB as being buried in Carlisle's Old Graveyard. There is a monument to those who served in the Revolutionary War as well as a headstone for Hugh Henry's specific grave. Photos of both would be most appreciated.
