Norval E. Kern
Monrovia, Calif.
Former Clark County resident Norval E. Kern, died in Monrovia on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 1996, of a heart attack. He was 78.
Mr. Kern, who was raised in Vancouver and went to school in Vancouver, had worked in the parts department at Bill Marshall Ford. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. Born Feb. 15, 1918, in Camas, he had lived in California about 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Edna, at home; two daughters, Sandra Osland of Eureka, Calif., and Joann Trask of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; one brother, Ted of Nehalem, Ore.; two sisters, Norma Blanchard and Marjorie Dotton, both of Fairview, Ore.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service in Vancouver later.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
