James Harrison McGregor, 90, passed away March 9, 2012, in Fort Collins, Colo. in the company of his wife and daughter. Jim was born and raised in Rolla and moved to Fort Collins in 2009, to be closer to his family.

He had a distinguished naval career that spanned over 20 years. He loved the water, warmth, and people of the South Pacific. After he retired from the Navy, he and his wife Nadine and daughter Jami lived in Rolla where he eventually retired from Standard Insurance Agency.

His retirement was dedicated to golf and family; he spent most of it indulging and entertaining his granddaughters after his morning golf game.

He is preceded in death by his mother Anna Mae McGregor, his father Ralph McGregor and four siblings: Lois Niemiller, Charles McGregor, Paul McGregor and Donald McGregor.

He is survived by his wife, Dereatha Nadine McGregor; his daughter and son-in-law, Jami and Randy Warren; his two granddaughters; Brooke Cline and Ashley Murzyn and their husbands; three great-grandchildren, Andrew and Lily Cline and Ava Murzyn and his brother Douglas McGregor and sister Mary Ellen Null.

Jim will be remembered for his smile, warmth, generosity, humor and most of all, his devotion and love for his family.
