Garrison's cremated remains were not initially taken from the Oregon State Hospital after death. The ashes were stored among the cans of ashes of 3500 former patients and inmates who died at Oregon’s institutions. At least by 9/7/17 his name was no longer on the list of unclaimed cremains.
