Paul J. Havel, 62, of Belleville, Illinois born December 30, 1935 in East St. Louis, Illinois died Sunday April 4, 1998 at his residence.
Mr. Havel was a retired switchman conductor for CSX Transportation for 33 years. He was a member of NARVEE, the United Transportation Union, Riverbend and Signal Hill Fire Departments.
He was preceded in death by his parents August J and Ellen, nee Doyle, Havel and a brother August J. Havel, Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Mary K. nee Fromme, Havel of Belleville, two sons Paul (Terri) J. Havel Jr. of Swansea, Illinois and John (Debbie) P. Havel of Belleville; a daughter Sue (Mark) E. Bosworth of Belleville; a sister Mary Neely of Belleville and four grandchildren.
