He was born on May 9, 1946 in Rochester, the son of Roland J. and Rita M. (Pare) Gregoire, he was a graduate of Holy Rosary High School, class of 1964, and LaSalle Extension University for Business Management in 1973. He resided in Rochester for most of his life and lived in Middleton the past 21 years.
He was a member of the Army National Guard Somersworth Service Battery, 3rd Howitzer Battalion, 197th Artillery deployed to Vietnam from 1968-1969.
Jerry retired from Pratt and Whitney in 2001 as a Senior Mechanic in machine tool services.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #7, Le Club Victoire, and V.F.W. in Rochester, and a 30 year donor to the VFW National Home for Children.
Jerry had a great sense of humor and enjoyed working on his land and in his shop where he fixed radios and clocks. He looked forward to his daily crossword puzzles and was interested in politics and all sports, especially the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics.
He is survived by his mother, Rita Gregoire; two children, Dawn (Gregoire) Waters and Duane and wife Penny Gregoire; two grandchildren, Alyson and Aaron Gregoire; a brother, Louis and wife Carolyn Gregoire; a sister, Therese Gregoire; three godsons, Billy Gregoire, William and Jason Cunningham; also many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 21 years who passed away on Dec. 19, 2011; his father, Roland Gregoire and a brother Paul A. Gregoire.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, N.H. at 2 p.m., with a calling hour before the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Interment will be in the spring at Milton Mills Cemetery.
