She had an adventurous spirit. She once rescued a horse she heard they were taking to the "slaughter house" and she and her friends kept him hidden on the bayou. Then she rode him down Main Street in Houston with my then six year old mama running behind her. They were pulled over by Texas Rangers and needless to say the horse was sent back to his pasture.
She was very artistic. She was my favorite aunt and got that title when she talked my mom into letting her pierce my ears when I was 10 - Oh it hurt! When she would come town we loved to get "Hurts Don't its" and Indian Burns from her. She was a real card. She should have had more time. She didn't live to see them, but she has grandkids and I'm sure she's with them always.
