Evelyn R. Faust Budd succumbed to her battle with cancer on March 18, 2012 at her home in Morehead City. Ms Budd was born in Altoona, PA on 2-7-1943 to Mr. Robert "Dutch" & Mrs. Dorothy Faust who preceded her in death.

Ms. Budd was a long time employee of J.M. Davis, Inc. who was recruited by Kathy Warren (a lifelong friend). Before she retired she was the store manager at the Jim Dandy Convenient Store on Friendly Road and Arendell Street where she was known as Ms. Evelyn. She loved her store, fellow employees and her many regular customers.

Ms. Budd leaves behind a life partner Eddie Gaskill of Morehead City, a daughter Sherri Erb and husband Dale of Hermitage, PA, a son Sean Socie of Morehead City, two granddaughters Leta Ann Socie of Newport and McKenzie Layne Socie of Wilmington, Eddie's aunt, Letha Willis, two brothers Robert Faust and Bernerd Faust, and a sister Susan Noel, who are all from Altoona, PA, a brother Samuel Faust, who resides in Phoenix, AZ. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

Ms. Budd loved to be outdoors rather than inside, when inside you would find her crocheting or doing some type of arts and crafts and drinking a glass of Pepsi. She also had a love that was undefined for Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse. It was very evident of her love, from a Mickey Mouse tattoo to her car that was decorated with Mickey Mouse Stickers enough it was known as "The Mickey Mobile".

Ms. Budd was an animal lover also, who has raised several miniature collies (Shelties) as pets, Lady, Shelby, Buddy, Sugar, Minnie and Lance who were known as the "4 legged kids".

A private service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of gifts, contributions can be made to any Cancer organization in her honor.
