Gale Leon Jackson, 85, of Muskogee, OK passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012. He was born September 3, 1926 in Braggs, OK to Alfred Jackson and Mamie Staton Jackson. Gale served his country in the Army with the 45th Division of 324th Infantry. He later worked as an admissions clerk for the VA Hospital from which he retired after 35 years of service. Gale was a cowboy at heart and was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Gale was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Mamie Jackson; and his brother, James Jackson. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Frank Morgan and Mr. Darrell Lanford officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
