He was born Nov. 27, 1925, in Muncie. He retired as an instructor from Ivy Tech State College.
He was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church; Moose Lodge, where he was a 50-year member; Disabled American Veterans; American Legion; VFW; and Forest Park Senior Citizens. He was a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alma Owen Holland; two sons, Bruce Holland (wife-Henri) and Brad Holland (wife-Beth), both of Muncie; three grandchildren, Marilee, Danielle, and David Holland, all of Muncie; three brothers; two sisters, a niece, Donna Cline (husband-Greg) of Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, and a sister.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Parson Mortuary with the Rev. David Helm officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Mr. Holland's calling hours will be shared with his brother-in-law, Bruce E. Dickerson from 4-7 p.m. today at Parson Mortuary.
