William Eiland is survived by his beloved wife, June (Arnot) Eiland and his son, Dave. Mr. Eiland was Chief of Police in Zephyrhills from 1961 - 1996 and to date he was the longest standing police chief in the community and known and loved by many. As of March 2018, Chief Eiland was still well known in Pasco as my father passed away there and officers arriving pronounced his last name correctly and asked if he was related to their long standing Chief of Police and brought up that a section of Highway 54 was named after Chief Eiland.
