Amos Laxton, 78 of Jesup, Ga. died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at his son's residence after an extend illness. The West Virginia, a pentecostal member, a land developer and landscaper. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence Christian Laxton; his brothers, Burl Laxton, and Jim Laxton.
Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Larry and Darlene Laxton, Kenneth Laxton, both of Jesup, Ga., Eddie Laxton of Richmond, Va., Lonnie Laxton of Richmond Hill, Ga. Terry and Annie Laxton of Marietta, Ga.; several siblings; 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 A. M. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Pastor Ray Worley officiating, along with the American Legion Post 311's presentation of the U.S. Flag.
Interment will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 P. M. Tuesday March 20, 2012 at the funeral home.
