Christena Mock was the sixth of eight known children of Jacob Mock (1778-1844) and Juliana (went by Euly) Tise Mock (1778-1843), who married 12 Dec 1801 in North Carolina.

Christena married Harrison M. Eccles (1814-1883) in March 1841 in presumably Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina. Christena and Harrison were the parents of five known children, namely:

1. Francis M. Eccles (1842-1872)
2. Margaret Elizabeth Eccles (1846-1933)
3. Martha Elizabeth Eccles Pridgen (1848-1925)
4. Mary Jane Eccles Lichtenthaler (1851-1918)
5. Sarah Jane Eccles (1854-1858)
