Funeral services for Bartholomew (Bert) Lambert, 79, of Shieldsville who passed away on Oct. 13 at his home following a brief illness, were held on Oct. 15 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Cecil Houle officiating. The church organist played for the services. Pallbearers were Louis Caron Jr., Francis Kaderlik Jr., Thomas Venero, Robert Dwyer, Ronald Caron and Lawrence Barry Jr. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery at Faribault. Bartholomew Lambert was born on March 23, 1885 in Erin Township to Edward and Valora Odette Lambert. He attended school in Erin Township and was engaged in farming until his retirement. In 1909 he was married at Lemmon S. D. to Stella Caron who survives him. They resided in the Faribault area except for brief intervals in North Dakota and Northern Minnesota. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Faribault. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Raymond of Shieldsville and Gerald of Faribault; four daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Corinne) Dwyer, Mrs. Emil (Eileen) Venero, Mrs. Ernest (Hazel) Caron and Mrs. Darit (Mae) Freeman, all of Faribault; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Telesphore and Richard of St. Paul and Fred and Jim of Faribault. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; three brothers and a son, Edward (Bud). Friends and relatives attended the service from St. Paul, Minneapolis, Scranton (N.D.), Montgomery, Kilkenny, Waterville, Nerstrand, Owatonna, Lonsdale, Northfield and Cannon City.
