Mrs. Hansen passed away Wednesday, March 07, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Norfolk.
Lois was born on August 10, 1936, in Norfolk, the daughter of Herman and Mary (Silhacek) Kirstine. She was raised on the family farm near Pierce. Lois attended rural school.
On September 27, 1957, Lois married Duane Hansen. The couple made their home on a farm north of Stanton where they have reside for the past 54 years. While living on the farm, Lois was employed at the Stanton Coffee Shop and later at Sherwood Medical.
Lois enjoyed sewing, quilt making, cooking and gardening. She loved spending time with her family. Lois was especially fond of her walks with her husband and their Sunday afternoon drives.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years; their two daughters and their spouses, Mary and Tim David, of Norfolk, and Jane and Kim Brahmer, of Stanton; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and one sister and her husband, Bernice and Brad Bowling, of Norfolk; sister-in-laws, Lillian Sonderguard of Grand Island, and Lydia Hansen of Beemer; and brother-in-law, William Hansen of Scribner.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister.
