Gwendolyn Matthews, 89, of Marion, died Monday at Crittenden County Hospital. She was a member of Marion Baptist Church and was retired from Tucker's Interiors in Marion.


Survivors include her daughter, Rozella Singleton of Marion; grandchildren Rachelle Scales of Henderson, Danette Brown of Henderson, Theresa Matthews of Marion and Julie Ward of Benton; great-grandchildren, Erin Scales, Sara Scales, Braxton Scales, Keaton Scales, Maci Brown and Maggie Brown, all of Henderson, Sam Powers and Kala Powers, both of Benton and Gracie Driskill of Marion; a great-great-grandchild, Lane Cope of Henderson; and a sister, Anna Christine Guess of Medina, Ohio.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Matthews; a son, Orman Matthews; and a sister, Mildred Campbell.


Services are at 11 a.m., at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
