1946 - 2012 Dr. William "Bill" Bowman, Jr., 65, Platte City, Mo., died Thursday, March 15, 2012, at a local healthcare facility. He was born Sept. 28, 1946, to William F., Sr. and Bessie (Barkley) Bowman in Kansas City, Mo. He married Lynthia Bradley Andrews on April 15, 1995. He graduated from East High School in Kansas City in 1964, UMKC in 1968 and Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 1972. Dr. Bowman was an ER physician. He worked at the University Hospital in Kansas City, Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Mo., Cushing Memorial Hospital, Leavenworth, Kan., Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville, Mo., Lafayette Regional Medical Center, Lexington, Mo., and Northwest Regional Medical Center, Albany, Mo. Bill was a member of American Osteopathic Association, Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience Alumni Association and American College of Emergency Physicians. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Stephanie Manlimos, Raytown, Mo.; grandchildren, Bishop and Hailie Manlimos; sister, Pat Clark (Fernon Jr.); niece, Sue Chinn (Daniel); nephew, Fernon Clark, III (Penny); great-nieces and nephews, Calvin, Jessica, Katie, Shiloh, Amy, and Nathan. Services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
