JOSEPH J. SIWEK, 38, of Wayne Street, died at People's Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Mansfield, August 23, 1923, he had lived here all of his life. He was employed at Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company, was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Joe loved sports and participated in golf, bowling, softball, hunting and fishing all of his life. He was a veteran of World War II. He married Wanda L. Lewis in 1950. They later divorced but remained close during his illness and she was with him at the time of his death.
He is survived by one daughter and two sons, all at home; his ex-wife, Wanda Lewis Siwek; two brothers, Michael and Lawrence of Mansfield; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Finfgeld and Mrs. Frances Kaler, both of Mansfield, Mrs. Sophie Edmonds of Fair Oak, CA.
