Mildred Kendrick
Mildred Atchley Kendrick, a lifelong resident of East Lake, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, in a hospital in Sheffield, Ala.
Mrs. Kendrick was a retired secretary from TVA, and prior to that was a Civil Service employee in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. She was a member of East Ridge (East Lake) Baptist Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, thre Rev. Noah Plez Atchley and Rilla Catheryn Woody Atchley, and her husband, Robert L. Kendrick.
Survivors include a son, Gary Kendrick; Florence, Ala.; sister, Alice Beard; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway, with the Rev. Bill Beard officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
