Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Patience M. Agar, 77, of Owendale, who died Sunday, Nov. 30, at the hospital in Pigeon.
Mrs. Agar was born Dec. 3, 1891, in Evergreen township, daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. John Kitchen.
She and John Agar were married June 9, 1909, in Evergreen township, where they
made their home. The couple moved to Owendale in 1910 and she operated a beauty shop there for 35 years, retiring in 1965. Her husband died Jan. 16, 1947.
She was a member of the Owendale United Methodist church.
Rev. Clifford DeVore, pastor, officiated at the services, held at Little's Funeral
Home, Cass City.
Survivors include one son, Forest J. Agar of Owendale; three grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren, and a half sister, Mrs. Hester VanHorn of Flint.
Burial was in Elkland cemetery.
