William James Mauszycki was born January 29, 1959 at Mitchell, to George and Eileen (Lowrey) Mauszycki. He grew up and attended school at Mitchell and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1977. On November 6, 1981, he married Lisa Long in Mitchell. He was employed at Small's Clothing and was a partner with Family Entertainment Network for a number of years. He owned Maui Motors in Mitchell and was involved in the Lake Mitchell West End Development. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Mitchell Booster Club. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, golfing, Mitchell sports and car restoration.
He is survived by three children: Matt Mauszycki of Mitchell, SD, Katy Mauszycki of Yankton, SD, Mallory Mauszycki of Sioux Falls, SD; one grandson, Lake Krantz of Yankton, SD; his mother, Eileen Mauszycki of Mitchell, SD; two brothers: Chuck Mauszycki and wife, Chris of Mitchell, SD; Tony Mauszycki of Mitchell, SD; and one sister, Georgia Livesay of Mitchell, SD. He was preceded in death by his father, George, two infant brothers and a brother-in-law, Donald Livesay.
