Jennie married George Bosler (b. 1846), a news reporter, and they had two children, Nina Belle in 1874 and Etta May in 1878.

Jenny's obituary was published in Pike County Press, Milford, Penna.:

Mrs. Jennie L. Bosler, widow of George M. Bosler, who was well known here where she lived for many years, died at the State Hospital at Danville, Pa., early last Saturday morning, after a long illness, aged about 58 years.

Mrs. Bosler was born near Dingman's Ferry, a daughter of the late Gabriel D.W. Layton, and her life was spent in Delaware township. About 36 years ago she was married to Mr. Bosler of Milford, who died in the early 80's.

Mrs. Bosler continued to reside here and for many years filled the position of housekeeper at various hotels and boarding houses, being employed at the Bluff House, when several years ago she was seized with illness, which subsequently necessitated her removal to the State Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters, Nina, wife of Frank A. Bennett of Port Jervis and Etta, wife of Harry Piatt of Coraopolis, Pa.; also three sisters, Misses Priscilla, Hannah and Kate, all of whom reside at the Layton homestead in Delaware township.

Undertaker Wood of this village went to Danville on Saturday and on Monday brought the remains to the Layton home, from which place the funeral was held yesterday afternoon, Rev. Wm. Jackson officiating. Internment in the cemetery at Dingman's Ferry.
