Alfred Ringgold Chaney, 83, of Kilmarnock died on March 16, 2012.
He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and was former president of Rockland County, N.Y. Chapter National Association of Power Engineers Local Union # 30.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor B. Chaney; three sons, Tom Chaney and wife, Marilyn of New York, Phil Chaney of Georgia and Drew Chaney of Texas; two daughters, Debbie Schauer and husband, Mark of New York and Darlene Chaney of Maryland.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 19 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will be in Clifton Ridge Cemetery, Kilmarnock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Animal Welfare League, P. O. Box 975, White Stone 22578.
