Found in The State 13 July 1932: William Mazyck, 73, died yesterday morning at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. J. Roy Salters at Portsmouth, Va. Mr. Mazyck had been visiting his daughter for only about ten days. He was a resident of Savannah, where he had been living for the past 20 years. About 30 years ago he lived in Columbia and was the superintendent of the Virginia-Carolina Chemical company's plant here. The funeral will be at the residence of Christopher Atkinson, 803 Richland street....Mr. Mazyck was the son of William St. Julian Mazyck and his wife Mrs. Ann Taylor Mazyck, the latter being a sister of the late Dr. B. W. Taylor of this city. He married Miss. Thomasina Davis deTreville, a sister of Mrs. Christopher Atkinson. Mrs Mazyck died in October, 1904. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J. Roy Salters of Portsmouth, Va.; a brother, St. Julian Mazyck of North Carolina, and a sister, Mrs. W. H. Barnwell of Wilmington, N. C., who is the widow of the late Rev. W. H. Barnwell, rector of the Church of the Holy Cross at Stateburg for 21 years.
