Dorothy E. McKinnon, age 80, of Hagerman, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, at her residence.
Dorothy was born Feb. 5, 1932, in St. Leon, Idaho, to David Wesley and Ethel Mary Bates. She attended school in Susanville, Calif. On April 1, 1948, she married Ernest Leo McKinnon of Susanville. They celebrated 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2008. She went to work for Pacific Bell in Sacramento, Calif., on April 8, 1951, and retired after 33½ years on July 31, 1984.
Survivors include three children, Helen (Nick) Bavaro of Las Vegas, Nev., Mike (Carma) McKinnon of Hagerman, Idaho, and Kathy (Anton) Bonieja of Merced, Calif.; one brother; three sisters; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted Friday, March 23, at the Mountain Valley Ward LDS Church in Standish, Calif. Interment will be in the Diamond Crest Cemetery in Johnstonville, Calif.
Arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel in Buhl.
