Margaret Fern Rawlings Hills Carter, 90, died Monday, October 8, 2007, in Provo, Utah. She was born May 20, 1917, in Vineyard, Utah, to Charles Alma Rawlings & Jennie May Johnson Rawlings.
Fern married West Hills, August 24, 1934, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He later died on April 4, 1956. She then married Don Carter, June 14, 1959. He passed away in 1997.
Fern is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She belonged to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers & Orem Women's Club. She loved sewing, quilting, and gardening.
Fern is survived by sons, Ed D. (Charlotte) Hills, Mesquite, NV, Roy C. Hills, Seattle, WA, Hy (Sheila) Hills, Orem, Utah, daughter, Sue (Ron) Juvenal, St. George, UT, 12 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Bill (Ann) Rawlings, Mapleton, Utah and sister, Fay Robidoux, Grand Junction, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and a brother, three sisters and one granddaughter.
