Richard Henry "Dick" Ebel, 87, of 220 Southwestern Drive, Jamestown, NY, and formerly of 404 S. State St, N. Warren, Pa., passed on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at W. C. A. Hospital.
Dick was born January 16, 1925, in N. Warren, the son of the late Henry and Edith Jewell Ebel. He was a member of the North Warren Presbyterian Church where he was active in various capacities. He was also the past president of the Kiwanis Club, and a member of the Cable Hollow Golf Club, where he enjoyed to play golf. Dick was also active in the Boy Scouts, achieving his Silver Beaver Award.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy E. MacMuldrow, whom he married on December 22, 1950, in Burgettstown, Pa; two children, Dorothy Lyle and her husband Terry, of Jamestown, NY, and Edie Wipple of Pittsburgh, Pa.; four grandchildren, Megan Lyle, Christopher Lyle and his wife Shannon, David Whipple, and Matthew Whipple and his wife Mallary; one greatgrandchild, Ada Whipple; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Fred Ebel; and two sisters, Barbara Cruickshank and Crescens Graham.
Services will be announced at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to North Warren Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 200 S. State St, N. Warren, Pa. 16365.
