Paul A. Nash Jr., died in Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Sept. 14.

He was born Feb. 2, 1914 in South Bend, Ind., and was a life long resident. He worked as a machinist at the South Bend Lathe Works for 45 years and has been retired since 1979. After graduating form Riley High School in 1931, Paul worked for several years at Borden's Ice Cream company, also in South Bend. In addition, Paul spent many years working part time at his family's service station, Nash Brothers Standard Service on the city's south side during the late 1950's and into the 1970s. He was a member of the Masonic Temple, and served for many years as a Precinct Committeeman for the Republican Party of St. Joseph County.

Paul married Ethel May Young on Feb. 25, 1939. She preceded him in death having passed away on April 2, 2000.

Paul is survived by his three daughters, Molly Lenczowski of Mint Hill, N.C., Marcee Nash -Morowetz of Surprise, Ariz., and Peggy Nash of South Bend; a son, Jake of Queen Creek, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Christy Lenczowski of Memphis, Tenn., and Timothy Lenczowski of Austall, Ga.; and his brother, Tom Nash of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday Sept. 18 in Westminster Presbyterian Church, followed by burial at Southlawn Cemetery immediately thereafter.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Sept. 17, in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, South Bend.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, or to the Arthritis Foundation-Indiana Chapter.

Arrangements were handled by Forest G. Hay Funeral Home in South Bend.
