MADISON / MIDDLETON - Justin Wise, age 30, of Middleton, died unexpectedly at home of unknown cause on Thursday, March 15, 2012.

He was born Dec. 19, 1981, in Madison, the son of Kevin and Cindy (Gundermann) Wise. He graduated from Middleton High School in 2000 and continued his studies at MATC. Justin was a kind and gentle soul, with many interests--but nothing was more important than family. Whether it was talking about sports with Tony and Jaclyn, or discussing politics with his uncles, Justin was an engaged, interested listener--a trait he likely acquired from his Grandpa Gundermann. This was just one of the ways Justin managed to be a consummate life-long learner. This ability to listen and learn, along with influences like Hunter Thompson, helped make Justin the talented writer that he was. While being continually interested in politics and history, Justin was also a natural athlete, and a talented musician who especially appreciated the songs of Dylan, The Doors, The Stones, and Jimi Hendrix.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Neil Gundermann, and paternal grandmother, Josephine Wise.

"My dearest Justin, I love you so much. I will miss our late night talks and early mornings together. I love you and will miss you forever. Good night honey, I love you. See you in the morning. Love, Mom"
