Leslie Steven "Steve" Montgomery, 48, of Casey, died on Thursday, February 11, 1999 in the Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 1999 at the Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville with the Rev. Mark Kaley officiating. Burial was in the Cumberland Cemetery in Casey. A visitation service was held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 14 at the funeral home.
Steve Montgomery was born August 11, 1950 in Paris, the son of Leslie Allen Montgomery and Mary Lou Kelley Montgomery Allison. He married Mary Elizabeth Stallings on December 16, 1967.
Survivors include his wife Mary of Casey; two daughters, Stephanie Jambga and her husband, Gwinyai of St. Louis, and Robin Montgomery of Casey; his mother, Mary Lou Allison of Martinsville; four brothers, Gary "Buck" Montgomery of Casey, Mark Montgomery of Martinsville, Terry Montgomery of Springfield, and Roger Montgomery of Chester; one sister, Brenda Montgomery of Casey; and three grandchildren, Bailey, Devyn and Hadyn Leslie Jambga.
Mr. Montgomery was the melting foreman for the Rowe Foundry in Martinsville.
