Mrs. Lawson died on Tuesday, July 14, 1998, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on Aug. 10, 1923, in Jackson County to the late Walter and Clarinda Gentry Bybee. Mrs. Lawson was a homemaker and a member of Hurricane Church of Christ in Jackson County.
Her family includes her husband, William Harley Lawson of Gainesboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Barbara Lawson of Gainesboro; a special mother, Kizziah Kirkpatrick Bybee of Gainesboro; four brothers, Jim Bybee of Old Hickory, Odell, Joe and John Bybee, all of Gainesboro; three sisters, Martha Bybee Kirkpatrick, Lucy Bybee Long and Ruth Bybee, all of Old Hickory; two grandchildren, Tiffany and Nathan Lawson, both of Gainesboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Bybee, and a sister, Frances Bybee Vanhooser.
Bros. Randy Bybee and Jimmy Anderson officiated at the services.
