From her obituary found in The State 22 October 1970: Mrs. Mannie Hammond--Mrs. Minnie Bollin Hammond, 86, of 1005 Pickens St., widow of Hampton Bland Hammond, died Wednesday in her home. Mrs. Hammond was a daughter of the late John H. and Minnie Bollin and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years and was past president of the Daughters of the Holy Cross. She was a member of the New Century Club. Surviving is a son, Hampton Bland Jr. of Columbia.
