Roquel was the oldest son of Carl and Emma Sophronia (Vogel) Williams. He was brother to Dorothy Caroline Williams Northup, Lois Elzene Williams Gray, Wilma Darlene Williams, Mary Maxine Williams Hicks, Harold Richard Williams and Janet Elaine Williams Buch. On January 6, 1947 Roquel married Margaretta Duffield Prince in Philadelphia, PA. He was the father of Roquel Amdor Williams, Jr., Mary Elaine Williams(RSM), Judith Ann Williams Goodwin, Michael Andrew Williams, Stephen Edward Williams, Kathleen Williams Love and Donna Marie Williams. Roquel was grandfather to 11. He was known as Kelly by his family and as Rocky by his buddies. One of his friends called him "a diamond in the rough" - and he was! He loved sports of all kinds. He was a baseball "phanatic" (Phillies); managed a Little League team in Broomall, PA; bowled once, and sometimes twice, a week; played cards with his friends and family. He was actively involved in Boy Scouts. He served on the U.S.S. Tennessee during World War II from 1942 to 1946. He was an electrician by trade, worked hard and provided well for his family, teaching them a good work ethic. He was loved and is missed by many.
