Mrs. Golda N. Smith, daughter of William Michael and Mary Elizabeth Smith Summers was born in the Conyers neighborhood, August 26, 1890, and passed away, January 1, 1963 at the Memphis Community Home after an illness of 30 days.

She was united in marriage to Frank Otis Smith, November 20, 1916. To this union two sons were born, one dying in infancy. Mr. Smith preceded her in death on January 30, 1957.

She united with the Salem Christian Church and later moved her membership to the First Christian Church in Memphis.

She leaves to mourn her passing, a son Donald Frank, a daughter-in-law, two grandsons, John and Gary Smith, a sister, Mrs. Jeanne Mauller of Memphis and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from the Gerth & Baskett Chapel, Thursday, January 3, 1963, at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Howard Merchant. Burial in the Conyers Cemetery.

Body bearers were Wayne Wolf, Bill Hay, Clark Mustoe, Duffy Hudnall, Donald Robbins, and Ivan Ludwick.
