After his mother's death in 1916, Will went to Bristol and lived with his widowed sister Lizzie Frank at the corner of Taylor Avenue and Elm Street.  A bachelor, Will was very shy, probably due to a severe speech impediment.  In addition to the fact that he was the "man of the house" from the time of his father's death in 1883, his speech problem only added to the fact that he received little, if any, schooling.  Although he was unable to read or to write, he was a model of gentleness and grace.  A tireless worker, he was sometimes so exhausted as to sleepwalk and actually do physical labor while "asleep."  Source:  Gerald Heffernan, a grand-nephew of William, provided this information to John Burbank
