Obituary for Alexander Glenn reads:

DIED. GLENN - At his residence, near Kenton O., on the 7th, Mr. Alexander Glenn, in the 79th year of his age.

Mr. Glenn was a native of Western Pennsylvania. He moved with his family to Clermont County, O., in 1819, and to his late residence in this county (Hardin) about sixteen years since. It is only a little over a year since he buried the wife of his youth, who had participated with him in the joys and sorrows of over half a century. As a Christian husband, father, neighbor and citizen, he filled up life with duty. There is perhaps no better eulogy than this --none other is needed. Having finished his work here, the Master said to him, "Come up higher." And for the seat made vacant inthe church below, we feel that another saint has entered into the church of God above.

"Jesus, thou Prince of Life,

Thy chosen cannot die;

Like Thou, they conquer in the strife,

To reign with Tee on high."

P.
