NEW HEBRON - Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Saulters-Moore Chapel for Burnice Newsom, 83, of New Hebron, who died Dec. 9, 2005, at Hospice in Ridgeland.
Burial will be in Whitesand Cemetery.
Mr. Newsom was a retired farmer and oil field pumper. He was a member of Old Hebron Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Newsom.
Survivors include three sons, James B. Newson Jr. of Byram, Danny Newsom and Terry Newsom, both of New Hebron; two sisters, Ina Cody of New Hebron and Lou Armstrong of Gulf Shores, Ala.; two brothers, Mike Newsom and Jimmy Newsom, both of New Hebron; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
