Paul Anderson, 85, resident of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at NHC-Lewisburg.

Mr. Anderson was born on July 9, 1925 in Maury County, and was the son of the late Thomas Bailey Anderson Sr. and Mattie Park Hayes Anderson. Paul was the husband of Edna Reed Anderson who passed away in 2007. He was retired from the State Highway Department in Belfast in general maintenance. Paul was a very active farmer for many years and loved working in his garden. He was a student of the Bible and loved studying his Bible. He served as an elder in his church, the Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Jo Anderson; two sisters, Pauline Anderson and Clara Mai Erwin; and two brothers, Vaden Anderson and Morgan Anderson.

Mr. Anderson is survived by a son and a daughter, Randell Anderson of Lewisburg and Lori Anderson of Lewisburg; three brothers and one sister, Curtis (Judy) Anderson of Culleoka, and Lewis Anderson, Thomas (Peggy) Anderson and Louise Uzzell, all of Columbia; and three grandchildren, Dustin Delbeck, Justin Delbeck and Ann Lisa Pullen.

The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Mr. Anderson will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, from the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Ronnie Joe Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Ray Anderson, Tommy Anderson, Charles Martin, Charles Martindale, Jack Willsford, John Park, Jimmy Rochelle and Jeff Hatter.

The honorary pallbearers will be Harry Mitchell, Bill Roy Parks and elders, past and present, of the Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1620 Fountain Heights Road, Columbia, TN 38401.
