Mrs. Victoria Marsland, age 76, wife of David Marsland, and pioneer resident of Royal Oak, died at her home, 606 Kazer [Kayser] Street, at 4:35 p.m., after four weeks illness. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Church of Royal Oak Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. The place of interment has not been decided.

Mrs. Marsland was born in Algonac November 11, 1850 and had lived in Royal Oak for the last 35 years. She was an active member of the Altar Society of St. Mary's Church.

She leaves, besides her husband, a brother, Edward Barney, of Brightmoor; four daughters, Mrs. E. Camus, 520 Kayser Street and Mrs. August Thomas, both of Royal Oak, Mrs. Herman Dondero of Grosse Pointe, Mrs. Julius Herring of Detroit; and three sons, Henry Smith of Keeko [Keego] Harbor, William Smith of Centerline, and Aloysius Burkell of Detroit, and a nephew, Edward Barney, who lives with Mr. and Mrs. Marsland.
