Eliphalet Steele ( in line of Samuel, John Jr. John Sr. Founder of Cambridge Mass. And that of Mercy, Maj.William, Gov. William Bradford of Plymouth, Mass.) The Steel and the Bradford name derived from old New England Founder families.
As for Eliphalet himself was the 7th child, born to Samuel Steel and Mercy Bradford. He had 6 brothers and 2 sister who were all older then he. [See Fathers memorial for ref. coming up soon.]
At this time it is not confirmed, if he is buried at the Ancient Burial Ground Cemetery but an request for help has been sent via email.
Married to Catherine Marshfield 4 Oct 1722 in Hartford, Hartford Co., CT, Daughter of Josiah Marshfield and Rachel Gilbert (See: Ref.to wifes memorial)
