~Nadine F. "Dina" Winstead Tincher~

Funeral service for Nadine F. "Dina" Tincher, 64, former Lawton resident, will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Tincher died Thursday in an Oklahoma City hospital. Burial will be in the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

She was born September 2, 1947 in Bethesda, Maryland, to Frederick and Nadine (Friedman) Winstead. She grew up in a military family, graduated high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and attended the University of New Mexico. She married COL (Ret) James Charles Tincher, III on December 17, 1966 in Albuquerque. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1992.

She started her professional career as the Installation Volunteer Coordinator for all the volunteer programs at Fort Sill, e.g., the Army Community Service, Reynolds Army Community Hospital, American Red Cross and the Thrift Shop. Because of her expertise in writing and speaking her job became full-time and added the title of Family Action Plan Coordinator. After her husband died she moved to Washington, D.C. where she worked at the National ARC Headquarters. She returned to Lawton after a year and worked for the Oklahoma Blood Institute as the Volunteer Coordinator. She was employed later at the U.S. Army Field Artillery Association, representing them at meetings around the country. She was last employed by Fort Sill National Bank.

She is survived by a son and daughter in law, James Charles Tincher, IV and his wife Secily, Edmond, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Maggie and Emily Tincher.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1320 NW Homestead Drive, Suite D, Lawton OK 73505.
