David Everett Nevills of Owensville, Missouri formerly of Cuba, was born June 15, 1922 at Lonedell, Missouri to the union of Nicholas Nevills and Velma (nee Smith) Nevills and left from this life on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 13 days.

David was united in marriage to Ruth Weppner on April 5, 1975 at Sullivan, Missouri.

David was a "Jack of all trades"; he could work on anything with a motor and fix it. He could build anything, make anything and an excellent cook. He attended the 1st Assembly of God Church of Owensville for the past couple of years. David is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Velma Nevills; two sons, Harold Ray and Gary Dean Nevills; one grandson, Glen David Nevills, Jr.; two granddaughters, Ariel and Chelsey Nevills; two sisters, Dora Loyd and Pauline Thompsons. Those are left to mourn his passing is his loving wife, Ruth Nevills of the home; nine sons, Donald Gene Nevills, Glen David and wife Nancy Nevills of Villa Ridge, Missouri, Randy and wife Judy Nevills of Villa Ridge, Missouri, Michael and wife Jodi Nevills of Granite City, Illinois, Dale and wife Natasha Nevills of Bixby, Oklahoma, Joshiua and wife Melissa Nevills of Bourbon, Missouri, Joseph and wife Shellie Nevills of Carthage, Missouri, Daniel and wife Michelle Nevills of Carthage, Missouri and Jacob and wife Stacy Nevills of Joplin, Missouri. Four daughters, Linda and husband Terry Bost of Union, Missouri, Kathy and husband Tom Stoneking of St. Clair, Missouri, Mary Lou and husband Robert Buchin of Advance, North Carolina and Jessica and husband Shane Rosario of Joplin, Missouri. One daughter-in-law, Chris Nevills (widow of Gary); 33 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; five brothers, Charles Nevills of Union, Missouri, Cecil Nevills of Missouri, Carl Nevills of Missouri, Arthur (Okel) Nevills of Union, Missouri and Herbert (Barb) Nevills of Conway, Missouri; two sisters, Lucille Welch of Union, Missouri, and Ida Mae and husband Paul Sohn of Cuba, Missouri. Visitation was held 4-8 p.m. Monday, January 1, 2007 at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral Service was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 with Rev. Bill Hobson and Rev. Leslie Dority officiating. Pallbearers were sons, Glen, Randy, Michael, Dale, Joe, Daniel, Jake and Joshiua Nevills. Burial at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Arrangements were under the Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
