Funeral services for Olan Jackson Armstrong, 79, of Temple, formerly of Cameron, were held Friday, May 28, 2010, in the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Gary Maroney officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Armstrong died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in a Temple hospital following an illness.
He was born Aug. 26, 1930, in Cameron to Andrew Jackson and Etta McGoldrick Armstrong.
He was retired from Armstrong Plumbing, which he owned and operated in Cameron from 1963 to 2006.
Mr. Armstrong was a 1950 graduate of C.H. Yoe High School and attended Blinn Junior College for two years.
He married on Jan. 19, 1957.
Mr. Armstrong was a member of First Baptist Church in Cameron.
Survivors are his wife, a son, a daughter, a brother, and two grandchildren.
