Her first husband was to Guy Baker and she later married D. Gene Cox on June 2, 1956 in Thawville, Illinois.
She is survived by her children, Casandra (Robert) Jacobs, Kimberly "K.C." (Sarita) Cox, Valerie Cox and Katana (Todd) Cook, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four sisters, Bernice Bender, Judith (Bob) Reisinger, Mariel Centobie and Laurie (Jim) Kadow and one brother, Franklin (Jane) Cohernour.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Thawville, the Thawville American Legion Auxiliary and the Friday 13th Card Club
She was a homemaker and waitress for 25 years working at Hicks Plaza and the Gilman Restaurant and Lounge.
